ENVIRONMENTAL & ECOLOGICAL SOVEREIGNTY
Decarbonized Infrastructure. Circular Economics. Zero Liquid Discharge
Carbon-Zero Thermal Energy
Standard land-based aquaculture (RAS) relies heavily on fossil fuels or volatile electrical grids to heat millions of liters of water. AGP eliminates this carbon footprint entirely.
100% Renewable Heat: Our baseload geothermal loop provides constant 28°C thermal energy directly from the earth.
Scope 1 & 2 Emission Reduction: By plugging into AGP, our tenants immediately slash their operational carbon emissions, ensuring their end-product is highly competitive under Europe’s strict Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM)
The Core Philosophy Industrial Symbiosis
At Atlas Geo Parks, we do not believe in "waste." Inspired by the Icelandic resource park model, AGP operates on the principles of Industrial Symbiosis. In our ecosystem, the byproduct of one biological process becomes the primary input for another. By centralizing our utilities, we drastically reduce the cumulative environmental footprint of our tenants compared to stand-alone facilities.
Water Stewardship & Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD)
In a region where water is a precious resource, our infrastructure is designed to protect the Gareb plain's water table at all costs.
Deep-Well Sourcing: We utilize deep, brackish water sources that do not compete with local agricultural or municipal drinking water.
The ZLD Promise: Effluent water from our tenants' RAS facilities is never dumped into the environment. It is captured by our centralized drainage network and processed through our biological filtration zones.
Nutrient Upcycling: The nitrogen and phosphorus captured from the water are used to cultivate secondary crops, such as micro-algae and halophytes (salt-tolerant plants like Salicornia), before the purified water is safely returned to the ecosystem.
Alignment with National & Global Strategies
AGP is not just a private enterprise; it is a strategic asset aligned with the highest ecological standards.
Plan Halieutis: Fully aligned with the Kingdom of Morocco’s national strategy for the sustainable development and modernization of the aquaculture sector.
UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Our infrastructure directly contributes to:
Goal 2: Zero Hunger (High-density protein production).
Goal 6: Clean Water & Sanitation (ZLD and RO treatment).
Goal 7: Affordable and Clean Energy (Geothermal utilization).
Goal 13: Climate Action (Decarbonized supply chains).
The "Green Premium" for our Tenants
For our operators, producing fish or shrimp at AGP means they can market their harvest with the ultimate eco-credentials. A zero-carbon, zero-waste product commands a premium price in international retail markets, directly increasing tenant profitability.
